The artist and photographer based in Dublin, Ireland, is known for his investigative approach to his work. With a background in history, he has always sought to piece together a version of the 'truth' through his artistic endeavors. Rather than presenting a straightforward narrative, he creates artwork that demands exploration, aiming to capture the intricate layers of life's palimpsest. His artistic style often incorporates a layered approach, deviating from the conventional photographic aesthetic and employing unconventional equipment and printing techniques. He honed his skills as a master photographic printer at Exhibit A Studios in Dublin, where he practices a diverse range of processes spanning from the 19th Century to the present day.

False friend

“There are times when I wander through even the most familiar of places with the wide-eyed hesitancy of a tourist. Surrounded by such apparent absurdities, who or what am I to trust? These photographs explore how perspective informs the way we understand and interact with the world around us. Sometimes we read too much into a situation and project exaggerated negative or positive attributes to what are essentially anodyne scenarios. Other times we see things only on a superficial level and fail to appreciate the deeper significance. This is indeed to be human. But in these times, it seems to be getting harder and harder to discern the fact from the fiction.”
