Julie Peiffer is a French photographic artist. After a first career in the press, she has developed an independent artistic practice since 2020. Her work explores the relationships between body, memory, alteration and territory, using photography and material experimentation to investigate what acts before becoming visible, both in landscapes and within the image itself.

Renversement
Renversement photographs this tipping point through states of tension, subtle imbalances and forms that seem to hold together while they might already be giving way. Some images are inverted, turned into negatives or reworked until what acts without being seen begins to surface. Within the thickness of the image itself, disturbance becomes matter.
