Chema Madoz

Born in Madrid in 1958, he is one of Javier Valhonrat’s disciples at the Bellas Artes Circle in Madrid. He studied art history while taking courses in photography. In 1983 he held his first solo exhibition at the Madrid Photography Society. In 1990, he began to develop the concept of objects, a theme that remains a constant of his work to date. Black and white is his preferred technique, his graphic expression is at the limit of surrealism and allegory.Through the marriage of deviant objects, it sometimes evokes a social reflection or a poetic awakening. His style focuses on the unusual and surrealistic presence of the objects he selects and presents in intimate scenes built by himself and photographed in black and white.
